Write Side Up

“Write a Book” is one of the items on my bucket list. But one of my problems is–I don’t know how to write a book. I went to Hawai’i last year and after I got home I thought it would be a fantastic location for a romance novel. Second problem–I didn’t read romance novels.–so I bought a few and began to “study.” The homework turned into an addiction.  I found it very easy to get very emotionally involved. I bought a few how-to books and started some inexpensive on-line courses and last fall I started my first novel.  Writing was slow going especially when I felt like I didn’t know what I was doing and discouraging when I felt like I started to late in life and how would I ever catch up when some writers had put out hundreds of books.
